The Cleveland Indians signed free-agent pitcher Mitch Talbot to a minor league contract. Talbot is 34 and hasn't pitched in a major league game since 2011, but he was pitching well for the Sugar Land Skeeters in the Independent Atlantic League, posting a 1.93 ERA in five starts. He's unlikely to make much of an impact, but he'll start out at Triple-A Columbus and should be rotation depth at best.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
