Mitch Haniger Hitting .333 From Leadoff Spot
6 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Mitch Haniger smacked his 24th home run of the season in the Mariners 5-2 win over the Orioles. Haniger's second half has come alive since manager Scott Servais inserted him into the leadoff spot. In 25 games hitting leadoff, Haniger is slashing .333/.400/.630 with one triple, six home runs, 12 doubles, 13 RBI and 19 runs scored. Haniger has managed to stay healthy this season and deliver on his immense talent. For the season the first time All-Star is slashing .279/.365/.490 with three triples, 24 home runs, 31 doubles, 74 runs scored and 85 runs batted in.
