Miles Sanders Viewed As Three-Down Back In Carolina
2 years agoThe Carolina Panthers and head coach Frank Reich view running back Miles Sanders as a three-down back who can do it all. It's why the Panthers let D'Onta Foreman walk in free agency before signing Sanders to a four-year, $25.4 million deal last week. Carolina still has Chuba Hubbard in their backfield, but as of right now, it looks as though they plan to give Sanders as much work as he can handle. The 25-year-old was a disaster for fantasy managers in 2021, but he bounced back with his first 1,000-yard rushing season and 11 touchdowns on a career-high 259 carries in 17 regular season games (15 starts) for the Eagles last year, adding 20 receptions for 78 yards. Sanders' ultimate fantasy upside could hinge on how well Carolina's rookie quarterback fares, but it's a good sign that he'll be heavily involved on all three downs in his new home.
