Minnesota Wild center Mikko Koivu had two assists, one on the power play, during Tuesday night's 6-2 win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Koivu now has three goals and four assists in his last five games, putting him at 12 goals and 26 assists on the year. Koivu centers the top power-play line and he is tied for second on his team in power-play assists (11) and fourth in shots (143). He has been a consistent 45- to 55-point producer over his career and he is likely to reach that mark again this year. The second line consisting of Zach Parise, Charlie Coyle and Koivu has combined to produced 15 points in the last five games.
