Mike White To Draw Interest As High-End Backup
Mike White is likely to draw interest on the open market this offseason as a high-end backup. White had his moments in 2022 after taking over for the struggling Zach Wilson, but he's injury-prone and commits too many turnovers. He has started only seven games in his NFL game, but he's averaged 308 passing yards and completed 62.1 percent of his passes in six of those starts. Former Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur preferred White as the starter over Wilson, so there's a chance the Los Angeles Rams could be interested in signing White as the backup to Matthew Stafford. The Jets will keep Wilson around for now, but they're expected to make a big splash at the position via a trade or free agency.

Mike White Elevated From The Practice Squad
Mike White from the practice squad to the main roster heading into Sunday night's meeting with the 49ers. Josh Allen is healthy. However, with heavy snow expected in Buffalo, the team is likely playing it safe by bolstering depth at the quarterback spot. Still, White likely won't get on the field, considering Mitchell Trubisky is next in line on the depth chart in the event Allen is pulled from the game.

Mike White Signing With Bills Practice Squad
Mike White is signing with the Buffalo Bills' practice squad, per Adam Schefter. White has also been a member of the Jets and most recently, the Dolphins, where he's played 14 regular season games, throwing for 2,219 yards, nine touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. This will be White's third AFC East team in as many seasons, but as far as a fantasy asset in 2024, White shouldn't be drafted in any format. As a member of the practice squad, White would have to be activated ahead of time if he were to get any action on the field in the event of a Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky injury. If White does get the opportunity to start, he has looked the part in his limited time on the field.

Mike White Visits With Bills Tuesday
Mike White, freshly cut by Miami on Sunday, visited the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday in search of a spot on their roster. White was a fifth-round pick in 2018 for the Dallas Cowboys, but never suited up for the team. He's also been a member of the Jets and recently, the Dolphins, where he's played 14 regular season games, throwing for 2,219 yards, nine touchdowns, and 13 interceptions. White would be the backup quarterback at best, but Mitchell Trubisky is also on the roster as he made the 53-man roster. As far as a fantasy asset, White shouldn't be drafted. If he ever gets an opportunity to start, White has looked the part in his limited time on the field.

Mike White Cut By Miami
Mike White on Sunday. He signed a deal with Miami last offseason and served as Tua Tagovailoa's backup in 2023-24. However, with Skylar Thompson earning the job, White will now look for a new employer. The veteran signal-caller was drafted in 2018. Since then, he's appeared in 14 games for the Jets and Dolphins, throwing for 2,219 yards, nine touchdowns, and 13 interceptions, adding 19 carries for negative yardage and a score. Although White could find another team heading into Week 1, his fantasy value can't get much lower, and that's not expected to change anytime soon.
