4 years agoGreen Bay Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine's contract is expiring and he will not return for the 2021 season, according to a source. The Packers also parted ways with special teams coordinator Shawn Mennenga two days ago. Green Bay's D gave up four touchdowns in the NFC Championship loss to the Buccaneers, including a 39-yard passing touchdown just before halftime, and got very little pressure on Tom Brady. Pettine also came under fire in last year's NFC Championship against the 49ers, when the defense allowed Raheem Mostert to run for 220 yards. The Packers Defense finished the season seventh in passing defense (221.2 yards allowed per game) and tied for 13th in scoring (23.1) and rushing defense (112.8). They also tied for 10th in sacks (41) and ranked in the bottom seven in takeaways (18).--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
