Mike Moustakas Agrees With Reds

The Cincinnati Reds and third baseman/second baseman Mike Moustakas agreed to a four-year, $64 million deal on Monday, according to league sources. With Eugenio Suarez entrenched at the hot corner in Cincinnati, Moose will presumably be the team's starting second baseman in 2020 with Jose Peraza being non-tendered. Moustakas hit .254/.329/.516 with 35 home runs and 87 RBI in 2019 with the Brewers, earning his third All-Star nod in the process. Having both third and second base eligibility for at least one more season will be huge, while Moose's power stroke should be in good hands in another hitter-friendly park in Cincinnati. It's a good landing spot for him.
