Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Mike Matheson (upper body) is considered week-to-week with an undisclosed upper-body injury, coach Mike Sullivan told the media on Friday. The 27-year-old played the entirety of Thursday's 6-1 loss to the visiting New Jersey Devils, so it isn't clear at what point he was injured. Matheson's absence will surely be felt on Pittsburgh's bench since he is averaging 18:15 minutes of ice time per night and is tied with Jake Guentzel for most game-winning goals (5). With the timeline for his return unclear and open-ended, fantasy managers are better off playing other defensemen. --Chelena Goldman
