St. Louis Blues winger Mike Hoffman is expected to be a healthy scratch again for Friday's meeting with Minnesota. He was dropped for Wednesday's 3-1 win over Vegas and was just an extra at Friday's morning skate. Defenseman Robert Bortuzzo will also remain in the press box. Hoffman hasn't done too badly with 21 points in 36 games, but he's been a defensive liability and the team has elected to move forward without him. Sammy Blais has benefitted big time from the lineup move, as he was promoted to the first line on Wednesday, and the 24-year-old repaid the trust by notching his fourth goal of the season. He will remain on Ryan O'Reilly's line for Friday's matchup.--Taavi Pailk
