Mike Foltynewicz Sees Team Flail In Loss to Nats
7 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Mike Foltynewicz surely knew that he had a terrible starting matchup in Nationals starter Stephen Strasburg. Still, he did not concede a thing, going five innings and giving up three runs, two of them earned. The problem was trying to get those runs back from Strasburg was like trying to climb up Mount Everest with a refrigerator strapped to his back. It wasn't happening, and Folty got the loss. He's still got a very respectable 2.93 ERA and is worth starting in the right matchups.
