6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Mike Fiers struck out seven batters for his 10th win of the season in a 6-2 victory over the Twins. He allowed only one earned run on five hits while issuing two walks. The lone run was a solo shot by Miguel Sano in the fourth inning. Fiers has been rejuvenated since joining the Athletics rotation. In four starts, he has three wins and 28 strikeouts in 24 innings. Fiers will look to continue his hot hand in a home start against the Mariners the next time he is on the mound.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
