Mike Clevinger Expected To Return To Game Action In 6-8 Weeks
5 years agoCleveland Indians starting pitcher Mike Clevinger (knee) is expected to return to game activity in six to eight weeks after having surgery on Friday to fix a partial tear of the medial meniscus in his left knee. With Opening Day almost exactly six weeks away, Clevinger shouldn't have to miss much time to open the season, barring any setbacks. If he can stay healthy for the rest of the season once he returns in April, the 29-year-old right-hander has the stuff to be a fantasy ace. Clevinger has a 3.20 career ERA in his four seasons with a 1.19 WHIP and 563 strikeouts in 500 2/3 innings (10.1 K/9). His fantasy value shouldn't change all that much, considering he shouldn't have to miss more than a handful of starts to begin the year.
