Mike Brosseau Avoids Arbitration With Brewers
2 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers and infielder Mike Brosseau avoided salary arbitration on Thursday by agreeing to an undisclosed one-year deal. In his first year with Milwaukee in 2022, Brosseau hit .255/.344/.418 with a career-high-tying six home runs, 23 RBI, 15 runs scored and two stolen bases in 160 plate appearances over 69 games. The 28-year-old can play second, third and first base as a utility infielder for Milwaukee. He's likely to see most of his playing time once again in 2023 as a right-handed utility bat against left-handed pitching. In his four years in the big leagues, he has a slash line of .248/.320/.432 with 22 homers, 69 RBI, 65 runs scored and seven steals in 212 games. His first three years were all with the Tampa Bay Rays.
