5 months agoDetroit Tigers designated hitter Miguel Cabrera (biceps) left the game early as a precaution on Tuesday with left biceps tightness. Cabrera struck out in both of his plate appearances before exiting. This was a precaution, but the Tigers surely won't rush the veteran back into the lineup in a lost season. Miggy has definitely shown his age this year, hitting .279/.341/.388 with only nine home runs and 50 RBI in 469 plate appearances. It hasn't helped at all that he hits in one of the weakest lineups in baseball. Cabrera is nearing the end of his career and is sadly no longer a staple in mixed leagues. Consider him day-to-day for now.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
