Michael Harris Impressing The Skipper
4 years agoAtlanta Braves outfield prospect Michael Harris has played in just 53 minor league games since graduating high school in 2019, but the 20-year-old has made an impression on manager Brian Snitker in camp. Harris hit his first homer off Rays hard-throwing right-hander Pete Fairbanks on Thursday, making him 3-for-7 through seven games. Ranked as the team's No. 12 prospect by MLB Pipeline, Harris could see his stock rise even more in the near future. "He's a special player," Snitker said. "We just got to get him a Minor League season to start, where we can get him out there playing every day." The Braves are excited to see what the left-handed hitter can do in his first full season of pro ball this year, but he's probably at least a few years away from realistically making his major league debut.
