1 month agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer (elbow), who had Tommy John surgery last spring, has lost around 20 pounds and said he's throwing from 90 feet on flat ground. Fulmer will progress to 120 feet next week. The right-hander is making good progress, but he's unlikely to be an option for Detroit's rotation until the second half of the 2020 season. For that reason, he won't be much of an option for those in redraft leagues. The 26-year-old (27 in March) won the American League Rookie of the Year in 2016 but has disappointed since, culminating with a 4.69 ERA and 1.32 WHIP with a 7.5 K/9 in 24 starts in 2018. Fulmer missed all of last season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
