1 year agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Fulmer will face off against Oakland in the series finale on Thursday, hoping to lead the Tigers to victory and avoid a sweep. He'll have his work cut out for him, as the Tigers have struggled mightily as of late, and Oakland isn't exactly a great matchup for him due to their proclivity for the long ball. Oakland is fifth in the American League with 108 homers on the year, and Fulmer has struggled to limit homers thus far, allowing 11 through 86 1/3 innings on the year. For perspective, he allowed 13 homers in 164 1/3 innings of work last season. On paper, it seems like it could be a rough day for the former Rookie of the Year.--Tyler Germain - RotoBaller
