Michael Feliz Picks Up A Save On Friday
4 years agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Michael Feliz got the final out of a 6-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals to pick up his first save of the season on Friday. With runners at first and third, Feliz struck out first baseman Paul Goldschmidt to end the game. The ninth inning didn't start as a save situation as the Reds were staked to a 6-1 lead at the start of the frame before Heath Hembree and Sean Doolittle combined to let in three runs. While it was a surprise to see Feliz out there to earn the first save of his career, Lucas Sims and Tejay Antone are both still secure in their sharing of the ninth-inning role while Feliz is likely to remain in low-leverage situations going forward.
