Michael Carter Has A Low-Ankle Sprain
2 years agoNew York Jets running back Michael Carter (ankle) is dealing with a low-ankle sprain and is being labeled day-to-day, according to head coach Robert Saleh. It's good news for the Jets and fantasy managers, as it isn't a long-term injury. The Jets will have more information on Carter's injury on Wednesday when they begin the practice week. The 23-year-old should have a chance to play in Week 13 against the Minnesota Vikings, but there's a good chance he'll be questionable. After Carter was injured in Sunday's win over the Chicago Bears, Zonovan Knight led the backfield with 14 carries for 69 yards, while Ty Johnson also added five carries for 62 yards (12.4 yards per carry) and a touchdown. James Robinson was a healthy scratch. If Carter isn't given the green light in Week 13, Knight and Johnson would most likely split the majority of backfield work.
