4 years agoDetroit Lions defensive tackle Michael Brockers reworked his contract following his trade from the Los Angeles Rams, according to a source. He now has a three-year, $24 million deal that includes $11 million fully guaranteed. Brockers previously had no guarantees in his contract. Brockers and the Rams were unable to agree on a contract restructure to help save salary cap space in 2021, so they dealt him to Detroit. The Lions sent a 2023 seventh-round pick to the Rams to complete the deal. Brockers was scheduled to make $8 million in 2021 and declined to take a pay cut to stay in Los Angeles. The 30-year-old was one of the last remaining players of the team that played in St. Louis. He had five sacks, five tackles for loss and 10 QB hits in his final season with the Rams in 2020.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
