Mets Interested In Justin Turner
4 years agoThe New York Mets are interested in free-agent third baseman Justin Turner, but the two sides aren't matching up on years/dollars, according to sources. The Mets also aren't sure what third baseman J.D. Davis would bring in a trade. The Milwaukee Brewers and of course the Los Angeles Dodgers are also interested in signing Turner. The veteran third baseman returning to LA on a two-year deal is still the best bet. Fantasy managers aren't rushing out to add the 36-year-old in drafts because he hasn't been able to stay fully healthy since 2016, but he's posted a .302/.382/.503 slash line with an .886 OPS, 116 home runs and 406 RBI over his seven seasons with the Dodgers. Turner is a fine late-round pick capable of hitting 20 homers with a high average over a full season, but his fantasy value would be highest if he returned to the Blue.
