Melvin Gordon III Sees 12 Touches, Finds The End Zone
2 years agoDenver Broncos running back Melvin Gordon III took a bit of a back seat to teammate Latavius Murray in the 21-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8. Gordon finished the London affair with nine carries for 29 yards and a touchdown while catching three of his four targets for an additional 23 yards. The 29-year-old's touchdown was just his third of the year and his first score since Week 3. However, he was behind Murray in the pecking order for the second time in the last three games, with Murray also finding the end zone for the second time in his three games with Denver. The 29-year-old hasn't been very efficient and is now splitting the backfield with Murray in a pretty lackluster offense. Like Murray, Gordon will be an RB3/flex without much upside coming out of the Week 9 bye.
