The Arizona Cardinals released tight end Maxx Williams (knee, ankle) on Friday. Williams played behind veteran Zach Ertz and rookie Trey McBride in Week 4 and failed to earn a target through four weeks this season. The 28-year-old is reportedly dealing with knee and ankle injuries and Cardinals general manager Steve Keim expressed interest in bringing him back when healthy.
