Maximilian Kleber 2019 Player Outlook
5 years agoDallas Mavericks power/center Maximilian Kleber is fresh off signing a four year, $35-million dollar contract to stay in a Mavs uniform for the foreseeable future. He showed some stretches of brilliance last season as a more than capable stretch four and finished the season with 6.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.5 steals, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 triples a night. The return of Kristaps Porzingis will only hinder his development, but we can assume the Zinger will not suit up in all 82 games, making Kleber, not a bad person to have handcuffed to the Latvian Wizard. There is no reason why he cannot provide similar numbers to last season with his value highlighted in his blocks and triples. With the Mavs not having much frontcourt depth, Kleber should still see around 20 minutes a night, with an uptick when Porzingis takes the night off.
