Max Scherzer To Make Rangers Debut Thursday
1 year agoTexas Rangers right-hander Max Scherzer will make his debut for the Rangers on Thursday in a solid matchup against the Chicago White Sox. Scherzer agreed to waive his no-trade clause to be traded from the New York Mets to the Rangers over the weekend. The 39-year-old future Hall of Famer isn't quite as dominant as we're used to seeing, but he has left one of the toughest divisions in baseball in the National League East. If he can keep the ball in the yard more often, Scherzer should be better down the stretch as the Rangers look to stay atop of the American League West. Scherzer will have a better offense backing him now, but aside from that, his fantasy value isn't likely to change all that much. Start him on Thursday against the Pale Hose.
