Max Muncy Won't Start Saturday
1 year agoLos Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said that infielder Max Muncy (wrist) is only available to pinch run on Friday and Saturday against the division-rival San Diego Padres. Muncy was forced to leave Thursday's game early with a left-wrist contusion after being hit by a pitch, so he's being given a couple days to rest up. X-rays were negative, and the 32-year-old left-handed hitter is day-to-day. He could be back in the starting lineup by Sunday evening. Chris Taylor is manning the hot corner and batting sixth on Friday against Padres right-hander Yu Darvish. Muncy has been a solid source of power (27 home runs, 70 RBI) and on-base percentage (.332), but he's not doing your fantasy team any favors in batting average, going 60-for-311 (.193) on the year.
