2 years agoAtlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker said left-hander Max Fried (hamstring) has passed all of his tests, but the skipper wasn't ready to confirm that Fried could be just a couple of days away from being activated from the injured list. But without any plans for a minor-league rehab assignment, Fried could return to the Braves rotation on April 17 or April 18 to face the San Diego Padres in his first start since straining his left hamstring on Opening Day. The 29-year-old did some fielding drills earlier this week and appears to be ready to go without a rehab assignment. It's good news for fantasy managers, although he'll be returning to a scary matchup on the road against the Padres if the Braves don't require him to make a rehab start first.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
