Matthew Wolff A High-Risk, High-Reward Play

While Matthew Wolff looked fantastic two weeks ago at the U.S. Open, he was awful last week at the Travelers Championship. Many young players of Wolff's caliber are prone to swings of volatility, but the Oklahoma State product can be particularly fickle. From a course-fit standpoint, Wolff sets up great for Detroit Golf Club, as evidenced by a runner-up finish here last year. The former 3M Open champion loves himself a birdie-fest, ranking 12th in this field in average strokes gained per round in easy scoring conditions and ninth in birdies or better gained over his last 36 rounds. With that being said, Wolff did lose strokes in all four major categories last week and is a difficult player to trust. Fantasy managers should proceed with caution.
