Matthew Stafford Unlikely To Play In Week 13
2 years agoLos Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said it's "safe to say" that quarterback Matthew Stafford (concussion, neck) won't play in Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks. Stafford is still in the concussion protocol and won't practice on Wednesday. McVay said Stafford hasn't had any setbacks in the league's protocol, but with the team out of playoff contention, the Rams won't be rushing him back. There's a chance we won't see Stafford the rest of the season, depending on how he progresses from his injuries. If the 34-year-old is officially out for this weekend, it will be either John Wolford or Bryce Perkins starting under center. Perkins made his first NFL start in last week's loss to the Kansas City Chiefs and went 13-for-23 for 100 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
