Matt Wallner Activated from Injured List
Matt Wallner (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list prior to their contest against the Seattle Mariners on Saturday evening. Wallner hit the injured list on April 17 due to a strained left hamstring. Before his injury, Wallner held a solid .263/.373/.474 slash line with five doubles, two triples, one home run, and a 19:9 K:BB. Under the hood, he generated an above-average .351 xwOBA with an elite 76.5 mph average bat speed. Through his six rehab outings with Triple-A St. Paul, the 27-year-old flashed high upside power as he launched five home runs with a .320/.370/.960 line. In 2024, Wallner enjoyed a strong finish to the campaign, holding a .272/.376/.538 line during the second half of the campaign. Fantasy managers should expect Wallner to have close to an everyday role in the starting nine going forward.
