Matt Moore Dealing With Meniscus Injury

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Moore (knee) said he's dealing with a meniscus injury but is encouraged that it can be fixed with rest and rehab instead of through surgery. "It’s not really swollen up very much," Moore said, "so I think that’s kind of why rehabbing, at least giving it a shot, makes so much sense." Moore might avoid surgery for now, but he will likely miss more than 10 days on the injured list. It's especially frustrating after Moore hadn't allowed a single run in his first two starts, albeit against two weak teams in the Blue Jays and Royals. Daniel Norris has taken his rotation spot but is only an AL-only option for fantasy owners.
