Matt Belisle Released by Cleveland
7 years agoThe Cleveland Indians released relief pitcher Matt Belisle on Tuesday. Belisle started the season as a member of Cleveland's bullpen, but he was designated for assignment after posting a 5.06 ERA in 10 2/3 innings. He then re-signed with the team on a minor league contract and fared a bit better, posting a 4.22 ERA with 11 strikeouts and only one walk in another 10 2/3 innings. He's already rumored to have come to an agreement on a new contract with the Minnesota Twins.
