Matt Albers Quietly Having Fantastic Year
7 years agoMilwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Matt Albers threw a perfect inning with one strikeout in the 4-2 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks. While Albers blew his chance to save the game after allowing four base runners and one unearned run in an appearance against the Reds, he has been a very solid reliever behind Jeremy Jeffress, Josh Hader and Corey Knebel on the depth chart. On the year, he has a 1.23 ERA with 17 strikeouts in 22 innings pitched. He makes an appealing candidate in holds formats, despite being quite low on the Brewers depth chart.
