Masahiro Tanaka Playing Catch Saturday
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka (head) is playing catch at Yankee Stadium on Saturday. Tanaka was diagnosed with a mild concussion last weekend after he took a Giancarlo Stanton line drive to the head exactly a week ago. But he's been symptom-free in the last week and was riding a stationary bike during the week. There's still a bit of a question if he'll be good to go by Opening Day, but things are looking good. The 31-year-old had a disappointing 4.45 ERA and 7.37 K/9 in 2019 and he's much more attractive for DFS purposes on the road. The Japanese right-hander gets burned by the long ball too often as well, making him more of a back-end fantasy arm for your mixed league rotations.
