Martin Truex Jr. Expensive For Race One At Dover
4 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing's Martin Truex Jr. will start from the third position in Saturday's Drydene 311 (Race 1) at Dover International Speedway. Truex is on an improbable streak of having five straight third-place finishes. Truex and his No. 19 team have been close to victory lane, either just being not as strong as the winner, or having to rally after having an early-race issue and coming up short. Truex now heads to Dover, the site of his first career Cup Series win. Truex won that race in 2007 and has added two more victories, coming in 2016 and 2019. Since he moved to Toyota in 2016, Truex has four other top-five finishes to go along with his two victories and has only finished outside the top-10 once in eight races. Truex is very expensive in DFS and has no room for error when it comes to position differential. Truex will be a contender to win, but his value compared to other high-end drivers makes him a tough lineup choice.
