Marquise Brown Wasn't Healthy In Rookie Season
5 years agoBaltimore Ravens team officials acknowledged that rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown (foot) wasn't fully healed from his foot surgery from a year ago in 2019. As a result, the Ravens expect Brown to be faster and more impactful in his second year in the NFL. Despite not being 100 percent, Hollywood Brown tied a team rookie record with seven touchdowns while also posting the fifth-fastest average maximum speed by an NFL receiver. Brown also was the first player in history with multiple 40-yard touchdowns in his first career game in Week 1. He finished with 46 grabs for 584 yards receiving. The Ravens held Brown back in practices in games, which lowered his fantasy ceiling. He'll be a boom-or-bust option for fantasy owners as a speedy deep threat, but if he's healthier in 2020, Brown could easily put up better numbers in Year 2.
