Markquis Nowell Posts A Double-Double In Saturday's Win
1 year agoToronto Raptors point guard Markquis Nowell had the offense ticking against Golden State on Saturday in the Las Vegas Summer League, scoring 17 points on 6-for-11 shooting and delivering a game-high 12 assists in a 108-101 win. He also had one block in the game, while going 2-for-4 with his three-point attempts. On the downside, the 23-year-old ended up with six turnovers. Nowell has struggled with his shooting in most Summer League games, but he's registered solid numbers overall by averaging 12.0 points and 6.8 assists. According to Raptors beat writer Josh Lewenberg, Nowell has caused a lot of buzz in the team's front office, as they haven't been this excited about an undrafted player since Fred VanVleet.
