Mark Vientos Day-To-Day With Wrist Inflammation
1 year agoNew York Mets infielder/designated hitter Mark Vientos (wrist) had an MRI exam on his left wrist and was diagnosed with inflammation. He's considered day-to-day and is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates. Vientos was removed from the game on Tuesday due to his injured wrist. It remains to be seen if the 23-year-old will be available for the start of a four-game series against the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday. Daniel Vogelbach is serving as the DH on Wednesday and is hitting fifth against Pirates right-hander Johan Oviedo. In 37 games, Vientos is hitting only .195/.230/.288 with two homers, 10 RBI and five runs scored in 126 plate appearances.
