Calgary Flames defenseman Mark Giordano was selected by Seattle in the 2021 expansion draft Wednesday. Like new Kraken forward Jordan Eberle, Giordano will bring some veteran leadership to the new franchise. At 37-years-old, the Toronto, Ontario native still logged a ton of ice time for the Flames playing 22:57 minutes per game. His point production has slipped, but he managed to register nine goals and 17 assists this past season. He skated on Calgary's second defenseman pairing playing alongside Rasmus Andersson. With Seattle electing to go with a younger defenseman group, Giordano could see a lot of ice time with the Kraken. Despite being on the tail end of his career, Mark Giordano is always a solid option as a draft pick for fantasy hockey in the 2021-22 season.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller
