1 week agoThe Seattle Mariners agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal with starting pitcher Taijuan Walker on Wednesday, according to sources. Walker can earn up to $3 million in incentives. The 27-year-old was drafted in the first round by the Mariners in 2010, so this is a homecoming for him. He hasn't been able to stay healthy of late, making just four starts in the last two years with the Diamondbacks because of Tommy John surgery. Walker could compete for a rotation spot in spring training if he proves he's finally past his elbow issues, but fantasy owners obviously won't want to invest anything more than a late-round dart throw on him in mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
