3 years agoThe New York Mets placed starting pitcher Marcus Stroman on the bereavement list on Monday. However, Stroman is expected to be back for his next start on Saturday against the New York Yankees. The right-hander has been solid for fantasy managers in his first full season in the Big Apple, going 6-6 with a 2.45 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 78 strikeouts in 88 1/3 innings over 16 starts. However, he left his start early on June 22 due to injury and he lasted only three innings while allowing four runs (two earned) while walking three and striking out three in three innings in his last start against the Philadelphia Phillies. While the Yankees offense has been dormant of late, Stroman is a bit more risky heading into the weekend.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
