Marcus Peters Suffers Torn ACL Thursday
3 years agoTests confirmed that Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters (knee) suffered a season-ending torn ACL at practice on Thursday, according to a source. Thursday was a really bad day for the Ravens, as starting running back Gus Edwards (knee) also suffered a season-ending torn ACL. It's a serious blow for Baltimore's secondary, but thankfully they also have Marlon Humphrey on the other side of the field. Expect some combination of Anthony Averett and veteran Jimmy Smith to pick up the slack in the wake of Peters' season-ending injury. The team could also decide to bring in more secondary help on the free-agent market. This is certainly a blow to the Ravens defense, but as a unit, they remain a strong starting fantasy option and should remain in play on Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders.
