Marco Luciano Promoted To Triple-A
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants shortstop prospect Marco Luciano, the team's No. 2 prospect and the No. 15 overall prospect in baseball per MLB Pipeline, has been promoted from Double-A Richmond to Triple-A Sacramento. Luciano hit just .228 (46-for-202) with 11 home runs, 12 doubles, 32 RBI, six stolen bases and 32 runs scored in 56 games for Richmond. The low batting average was due to a slow start after he recovered from a stress fracture in his back over the winter. Luciano has hit over .300 in the last month-plus to get the promotion to Triple-A. The 21-year-old right-handed hitter has elite bat speed and plus raw power to all fields at a premier position. He should already be stashed in dynasty/keeper leagues, and there's a chance he's called up to the big leagues later on in the second half of the season.
