San Jose Sharks defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic left the game after blocking a shot from Vegas defenseman Shea Theodore and did not return. Vlasic was able to play only 7:02 minutes in the game before being injured, and at this time his status for Game 3 is unclear. San Jose will feel the impact of missing one of their best shutdown defenseman if Vlasic has to miss any time, which will make it more difficult to ensure Game 2's defensive blowout does not happen again.
