Malaki Branham Scores 32 Points Against Lakers
1 year agoSan Antonio Spurs guard/forward Malaki Branham led all scorers with a 32-point effort in Wednesday's 109-99 win over the Lakers. This was a very strong showing from the 20-year-old as Branham finished with a 3-for-6 record from deep and shot 12-for-24 overall from the field. He grabbed five rebounds and tallied two assists and one steal. The Ohio State product did well during his rookie campaign, averaging 10.2 points per game, and he'll be hoping to take another step forward in 2023-24. The Summer League offers him a great chance to build up confidence ahead of the new campaign, and we can expect him to have an active role in the team's offense, although the Victor Wembanyama mania is about to start when the Las Vegas tournament tips off on Friday.
