Luke Schoonmaker Could Return To Practice Soon
1 year agoDallas Cowboys rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker (foot) could return to training camp practice as soon as Monday. Schoonmaker had a minor setback with the foot injury on Saturday that caused him to open camp on the Non-Football Injury list. The 24-year-old second-rounder is dealing with a partial tear to his plantar fasciitis, but apparently it's not very serious. He has been able to run routes, but he needs to get on the field for important repetitions with the offense in camp. The departure of Dalton Schultz this offseason paves the way for Schoonmaker to have a significant role in his first NFL season, but Jake Ferguson will have something to say about that. Given the fact that young tight ends often take time to develop, fantasy managers in redraft leagues shouldn't expect much from the rookie early on.
