Luke Raley Not Ready To Return
1 year agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Luke Raley (knee) remains out of the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Detroit Tigers. Raley fouled a ball off his right knee in Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees and will receive another day off. Harold Ramirez will serve as the designated hitter and bat seventh, with Josh Lowe playing right field and batting sixth against Tigers right-hander Reese Olson. Raley has been a fantasy asset against right-handed pitching due to his power/speed combination from the left side of the plate. Through 86 games (297 plate appearances) in his third major-league season, he's broken out to the tune of 15 home runs, 40 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 46 runs scored while slashing .266/.355/.529 with an .884 OPS. He should be back in the lineup at some point this weekend in Detroit.
