Luis Severino Won't Throw Until He's Pain-Free
2 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (lat) said he won't begin throwing again until he's pain-free, but he thinks the team caught the issue before it became a major concern. Severino said the lat strain is in a different spot than last year. Even if he wanted to rush back, the Yankees wouldn't let that happen. The 29-year-old right-hander will start the 2023 campaign on the injured list, but in a best-case scenario, he could end up missing only three to four turns through the rotation. Hopefully, he'll pick back up throwing after around a week. Severino's price will drop slightly in upcoming fantasy drafts, but when he's healthy, he has the ability to post near-ace numbers for his fantasy managers.
