Luis Severino To Throw Bullpen Monday
2 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Luis Severino (lat) threw from 120 feet on April 6, a session that went "really well," according to manager Aaron Boone. Severino is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Monday after Boone said Severino's "workload was pretty big" on April 8. He resumed light throwing on March 31 and did so again on April 1. The 29-year-old right-hander suffered a right lat strain while working out in spring training, and he allowed 15 runs in 15 innings in Grapefruit League action before his injury. Severino has said he'd be "blessed" to miss three to five starts to open the 2023 season after he was placed on the 15-day injured list on March 30. Injuries have been an issue for him, but Severino has ace potential for fantasy managers when he's healthy.
