Luis Robert Out Again Thursday Against Guardians
2 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert is out of the starting lineup for the second straight day on Thursday against the Cleveland Guardians. Robert is limping to the finish line in 2022 and has played in just seven games this month, mostly due to a hand/wrist injury. He's also suffered at the plate when he has played, going 1-for-23 (.044) with no homers, RBI or runs scored and eight strikeouts in 23 plate appearances. Until the 25-year-old shows signs of life, fantasy managers may also want to plant him firmly on their benches. AJ Pollock is getting another start in center field and will bat seventh on Thursday against Guardians right-hander Shane Bieber. Pollock has been pretty solid in September, hitting .278 (20-for-72) with four home runs, 11 RBI, 11 runs and a steal in 19 games.
